Previously called the RESIDENT CARE AIDE / HOME SUPPORT WORKER Program
Make a positive difference in people's lives. This 24 week program includes extensive hands on training in labs at our school and on site at long term care facilities.
Next class starts May 13, 2103 ... go to work in November 2013 !!
At our school, you can expect SMALL classes, PERSONAL support, and GREAT instructors.
You will be trained to provide care and support services to clients and their families in many different settings ... residential facilities, group homes, private residences and community facilities. You will learn to assist people with the activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, hygiene, medications, restorative activities and home management.
The program includes supervised field training where you will gain real world experience in applying the knowledge and skills you learned in the classroom environment.
Students also receive job search training to help them find work upon graduation.
